FISHING

FISHING WATERS Within a radius of 15 km from Ankarsrum we can offer fishing in approx 25 lakes of  various sizes with a total area of nearly 1,200 ha.  Many of  them are easily reached from small or large roads while others can be reached after a short walk.

FISH The dominat catch in most lakes are pike and perch but there are also interesting coars fish such as tench, bream, rudd and roach. In most waters there are also eel as well as burbot. The eel should preferalby be caught during warm summer nights while the burbot should be jigged during the winter.

FISHING SEASON You can fish for pike all year round but the best time is during the spring and autumn.  The perch can also be fished all year round but especially during the summer. The bream, tench and other coarse fish are preferably angled during the summer and that is also the time for real precious moments for eels. The burbot should be fished from the ice during winter. FISHING REGULATIONS Fishing permits are compulsory and valid for all waters except the trout lakes, where there is also a limit on how many you are allowed to catch.  Otherwise the restrictions and rules regarding e g minimum measures etc can be read on the fishing permit. Fishing from boats is allowed in most lakes.
